Six Senses Spa Kuwait Review

 

I recently spent three weeks working from Six Senses Spa at Hotel Missoni, Kuwait. It was my first visit to Kuwait, so I didn’t quite know what to expect of the spa or Kuwait.

Kuwait itself was fairly quiet, and no sand dunes – so no dune bashing for me unlike Dubai or Qatar!

The local or tourist past-times seemed to be afternoon strolling along the long cornice or beach front, visiting the Science Center with the traditional pearl shipping boats moored nearby, or shopping and eating at one of the main malls, The Avenues for instance which was a maze of shops and places to eat.

It amazed me somewhat, and came as a surprise in this day and age that people were still allowed to smoke inside the mall, in restaurants and at cafes. Even teenagers were puffing away.

I felt like handing out my QEPR business card to all the smokers to help them quit, to give them treatment for stress to relieve whatever was making them smoke!

I wondered how these people, young and old manage to travel by air. I mean, apart from any fear of flying help I am able to offer it must be difficult for them, without help, to stop the addiction, the habit, the cigarette cravings for such a long time. No wonder the small smoking rooms at airports are so packed with people, and thick with smoke too!

Hotel Missoni, Italian owned 5 star designer hotel, is quite chic with its rather colourful bedroom furnishings. I enjoyed spending time in my room on the 16th floor as I had a great view of the Cornice.

The only draw-back was the frequent sound of expensive cars and motorbikes racing, roaring along the road that ran adjacent to the Cornice.

Six Senses Spa, a part of the hotel, is situated near the hotel swimming pool, which is a nice spot. The spa itself is nicely decorated and is welcoming and offers many treatments inspired by Arabic traditions. The staff were wonderful and a pleasure to work alongside.

I offered my usual treatments there – stress relief, reducing fears and phobias, anger, sadness, frustrations, food cravings also muscular aches and pains. Most popular was stress relief, followed by love pain symptoms.

Apart from my usual ‘Introduction to QEPR’ class, which was by all accounts their most attended and popular class ever, I also provided a group ‘Weight Loss Made Easy’ workshop.

In that I teach my successful weight loss system and also how to reduce emotional eating and cravings. One of the main keys to weight loss by the way is to eat as slow as possible. Most over-weight people eat far too fast. Create a new habit, practice – slow it down!

All attendees loved the system and the tapping tips and said they will put it into practice a.s.a.p. I’ll need to follow up with them in time to see how they are doing. They should do well as it has over a 70% success rate!
